[Build Idea] A/D Critikal Scythe
Somthing I've been kicking around since I saw the Nightfall proposed skill theories. Basically this is a variant of the Critical Barrager build but this sacrifices Distance for the Deep Wound status effect.
Keep in mind this is a theory, I can't guarentee that the skills will stay the same when Nightfall is released.
============ A/D
Armor: Nightstalker (Preferably, since you will be in the fray alot) or Shrouded.
Weapon: a Zealous (Scythe) of Enchanting and a Vampiric/Sundering (Scythe) of Fortitude, both need a 15% while Enchanted booster.
============ Attributes:
11+1+3 to Critical Strikes (headgear and superior rune)
12 to Scythe Mastery
Rest to either Earth Prayers or Shadow Arts
============
Skills:
Wounding Strike {e}
-Elite Scythe Attack. If this attack hits while you are under the effects of an Enchantment, target foe suffers from a Deep Wound for 5...17 seconds. If you do not have an Enchantment on you, this attack causes Bleeding for 5...17 seconds. 5e, 3r
Reap Impurities
- Melee Attack. If this attack hits, you deal +10...26 damage. You gain 5...41 Health for each foe you hit that is suffering from a Condition. 10e 6r
Sharpen Daggers
- Enchantment Spell. For 10...30 seconds, all of your critical hits cause Bleeding for 5...13 seconds. 5e 2c 20r
Critical Eye
- Skill. For 10...30 seconds, you have an additional 1...6% chance to land a critical hit when attacking. You gain 1 Energy whenever you score a critical hit. 5e 30r
Critical Defenses
- Enchantment Spell. For 6 seconds, you have a 25...65% chance to "block." Critical Defenses refreshes every time you land a critical hit. 10e 1c 30r
Crippling Sweep
Scythe Attack. If this attack hits, target foe is Crippled for 5 seconds for each Enchantment on you (maximum 10...18 seconds).
Shadow Refuge or Vital Boon (defensive pinch skill)
Optional, preferably a Resurrection Signet
============ Basically the trick to this is to cause mass AoE damage with critical hits coming from your scythe while you got Critical Eye/Defense/Sharpen Daggers up. Meanwhile, the skill Wounding Strike synergises with either Sharpen Daggers or your defensive enchant (Shadow Refuge or Boon) to cause Deep Wound on your target. After that, Reap Impurities on your bleeding/wounded opponents to get HP back and just rinse and repeat.
Any speculation/ideas/problems you see, feel free to post them here. This idea is somthign I really want to work since my sin has been gathering dust for a good while.

Ah, but I have alredy spent a few hours perfecting the theory behind the build (look in notes).
You can see my final (before factions comes out) build in this link.
You are not allowed to post builds for Nightfall untill it comes out so I've put it there.
I'll also be keeping an eye on this thread so please comment, any criticism will be taken on board and will help me improve it. I can't however give any thanks though as it is against the rules.

Anyway, I was thinking of adding Way of the Assassin but with Bleeding already guarenteed by Wounding hit and with the sin already having around a +40% chance to critical, I felt it was a waste of an elite. Plus Deep Wound is the bane of any caster.

The reason behind using Way of The Assasin is that Critical Defenses is your only real way of defending yourself and if they run away you need to find a quick targert to keep it going, the higher chance of getting this critical hit the more likely it can be refreshed. That, and it basicaly doubles the normal to critical hit ratio making you that much stronger.
I'll be sure to cheak out your suggestions when Nightfall comes out anyway, to make sure I'm not wrong.

Wouldn't it be terrifying if Wounding Strike did AoE Deep Wound like a regular scythe attack?
Looking at it though, I noticed that you can also get a pinch defense from Mirage Cloak since it gives you 10 seconds of 50% blocking. There's also Recall and Return, which pull you out of a terrifying melee situation (Return allows cripple which can help you with Reap Impurities).
Now that I look at it though, Way of the Assassin + Crit Defense could work for flat out durability when you get overwhelmed. That plus Reap Impurities and you can potentially tank for a good while.
We should team up in the game and test our results. This could be brilliant for Sins overall.
